How can I communicate with my Chinese doctors, nurses and therapists?

A.
Most doctors, nurses, and all international service coordinators are proficient in two languages (English and Chinese). Before your arrival in China, we will assign an English-speaking service coordinator who will be responsible for you throughout your hospitalization. He/she will pick you up from the airport and assist you with on-site matters. If you have any inquiries or issues that the service coordinator cannot address, please feel free to contact the service manager at any time.

What are the departments in the hospital? What kind of diseases can be treated in the hospital?

Nuolai International Hospital is a comprehensive medical facility with a focus on treating neurological disorders. We specialize in neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and traditional Chinese medicine. Currently, our primary areas of expertise include the treatment of spinal cord injuries, various brain tumors, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, strokes, and other neurological disorders, as well as various types of cancer and osteoarthritis.

How is the doctor’s team in the hosital?

There is a team of experts from leading hospitals at home and abroad in hospital, such as Union Hospital, Tiantan Hospital, Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing Cancer Hospital and so on. Most of the experts have overseas education background and rich clinical experiences, and they are good at diagnosis and treatment of difficult cases, also they can design customized and effective treatment plans according to the different conditions of each patient.

How can I contact the hospital and inquire about the treatment plan before it begins?

You can reach us through email, WeChat, or phone. We provide multilingual medical consultation services for all patients and design the most suitable treatment plan for each individual through a "one-on-one" expert assessment.
Q.
Whether the actual treatment plan will be different from the original treatment plan after the admission?

A.
The treatment plan is made according to the medical reports we received. It may change if the patient's actual condition is very different from the medical reports provided during the medical consultation. Among all the patients we’ve treated, 90% of them were treated as planned and 10% needed to adjust the plan after new evaluation.

Will there be a follow-up to the patient after treatment?

We are regularly followed up for each patient who has been treated at Nuolai International Hospital. If the patient did latest examination after the discharge, they can send the results to follow-up personnel, and our staffs will promptly consult the doctor about treatment advice and feedback to the patient. Follow-up period is 1 year.

Please tell me more about the information regarding the inpatient rooms? What will the hospital provide for us?

Our standard rooms include a bed, sofa, and a private bathroom with medical staff assistance. Each room is equipped with an LCD TV and a water dispenser. We provide bedding and patient essentials, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, and tissues.Here are pictures of our rooms.

Does your hospital's rooms have WiFi?

A.
We provide free WiFi services for visitors and patients. WiFi connectivity is available throughout the hospital premises. Internet voice services such as Skype and WeChat work well in China. However, direct access to Google and Facebook is not available in China. Please download a VPN in advance if needed.

Do I need to get vaccinated before coming to China?

A.
The Chinese government does not have regulations mandating vaccination for incoming individuals.
Q.
When I book flight tickets, which airport is nearest to your hospital? Does the hospital provide airport pick-up services?

A.
The nearest airport to our hospital is Beijing Capital International Airport. After landing, you will need to transfer to a high-speed train to reach the hospital. We do offer airport pick-up services for our patients. Once you have booked your flight tickets, please provide us with your travel details, including your arrival time and flight information. Our service coordinator will be assigned to pick you up at the airport, assist you during your arrival, and ensure a safe journey to the hospital. If you have any preferences or specific requests, please let us know in advance.

What things I need to bring from home?

A.
During much of your stay you will wear your own clothes, nightclothes, robe, slippers and shoes. You will also use your own sanitary and toiletry items (including items such as diapers).
You need to bring (or buy locally) clothing and shoes that are suitable for the season, personal hygiene articles (toothbrush, hairbrush, comb etc.) any other personal items that you wish to use while in China from home. If you are bringing children, some favorite toys, games and reading material will help them pass the time. Also, feel free to bring your laptop computer, digital camera, mobile phone and personal music player etc.
The hospital does not provide hair dryers. If you need a hair dryer we suggest you bring one (220 V only) or that you buy one locally. Please ask your International Service Coordinator if you need help.

Where are you located?

A.
The hospital is located at the foot of Mount Tai, the first of China's famous five Mountains, in Tai 'an City, Shandong Province, with convenient transportation. Founded in 2016, the hospital is an international specialized hospital dedicated to providing excellent medical services for brain diseases. The center has internal, external, gynecological, pediatric, ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, anesthesia, oral, physical examination center, emergency, operating room and other clinical departments.

What hours are you open?

For inpatients, we are open 24 hours a day. Visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Q.
What should I do if my visa expires before the treatment is over?

A.
The hospital staff will assist you to extend your visa to the Embassy in China according to the doctor's treatment plan.
